Open Call!

The SYNERGY project has launched its Open Call! An overall budget of €380k will be used for cascade funding across a total of 8 projects that make use of the SYNERGY Big Data Platform and Analytics Marketplace and are deployed in the SYNERGY demonstration sites, that will be selected through an Open Call.

The Open Call shall enlarge the outreach of the core big data platform and analytics offering of SYNERGY and engage relevant organizations in the development of innovative and added-value energy services that will complement those that will be offered as part of the SYNERGY implementation.

The Open Call is primarily focused on selecting new experiments and services to be tested and validated during the project under real-life conditions and with the use of real data coming from the demo partners, thus extending the scope of the project and enlarging the service portfolio that will be finally delivered by the project technology partners to the energy market actors and stakeholders.

The SYNERGY Platform: Grupo Cuerva starts uploading datasets to test and validate use cases

After 22 months since the beginning of SYNGERY’s activity, Grupo Cuerva, one of the Spanish demo-partner for the project, has started the uploading of its datasets in the SYNERGY Platform. This will be used to test and validate several Use Cases related to:

PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) between renewable generators and supply points.
Prosumer flexibility in the Low Voltage Grid, from the point of view of the aggregator and from the DSO.
Grid Asset Management optimisation for predictive maintenance of Grupo Cuerva’s critical assets.

To test it, a complete suite of datasets will be included in the SYNERGY Platform, and it will comprise:

Full LV&MV Digital Twin of the demo electric grid (La Calahorra, Granada), with the location per phase of all the supply points.
Electrical consumption and generation data of all the Smart meters deployed in the demo.
Retailer data of the supply points: tariffs, contracted power, etc.
High-resolution electric data of the devices located in the secondary substation: voltages, currents, active and reactive power, etc.

Thanks to the SYNERGY Platform, all the personal information regarding the supply points will be anonymised and secured and will be normalised into the Common Information Model (CIM) developed during the SYNERGY Project.

First BDVe Steering Committee as a new PPP Project

Today SYNERGY project attended its first BDVe Steering Committee as a new PPP Project.

BDVA or Big Data Value Association (BDVA) is an industry-driven international not-for-profit organization. It is comprised of 200 members all over Europe and a well-balanced composition of large, small, and medium-sized industries as well as research and user organizations.

SYNERGY attended the OPENDEI.eu 1st #energy Domain Workshop

Yesterday, Eva María Muñoz presented the data architecture of the SYNERGY project at the 1st Energy Domain workshop OPENDEI.eu. OPEN-DEI is an EU-funded project, that aims to detect

gaps, encourage synergies, support regional and national cooperation, and enhance communication among the Innovation Actions implementing the EU Digital Transformation strategy.

The objectives of the workshop have been to establish links among the H2020 projects in the energy ecosystem dealing with data exchange and use case applications, and secondly, to set up working groups and joint actions and agree on plans for the upcoming period.

The workshop was held as a teleconference and was opened by Mark van Stiphout (EC) and Franck Boissiere (EC). The workshop has participants from 7 H2020 projects (amongst them SYNERGY) who have exchanged information about their projects and shared best practices.

EU BRIDGE arranges pavillon at India Smart Utility Week

The SYNERGY project will be present at India Smart Utility Week 2020, 2-6 March, in New Delhi. The pavillon is set up by EU BRIDGE and coordinated by GECO Global. GECO Global is also a partner in SYNERGY.

Eva Muñoz representing SYNERGY in a IoT workshop
